Fire & Torch (2011)
私たちが電球を使い始めたのはほんの130年前。それまでの50万年もの間、私たちは「火」をあかりとして使ってきました。誰しもろうそくやたき火の炎に、不思議な魅力を感じたことがあると思います。私たちの遺伝子には、あかりとしての「火」への親しみが刻まれているのかも知れません。
FireとTorchはそんなあかりの祖先とも言うべき「火」をモチーフとした照明。「Fire」はたき火を連想させるフロアライト、「Torch」は現代のたいまつとも言うべき、持ち運びできるあかりです。
About 130 years ago, the first electric lamp was invented.
Before that, people used fire as lighting for more than 500,000 years.
It may be said that people were familiar with fire as lighting since our begining.
And fire is the roots of modern lighting products.

Torch is the portable light. Its roots come from the original meaning of torch itself.
